5th National Prisoner’s Family Conference
Barb was a presenter at this 5th Annual National conference, and was available for ministry and book signing held on February 19, 2013. The conference was held at the Hilton Southwest Hotel in Houston, Texas.

Wing's Prison Party - Houston, Texas
Saturday, 02/23/2013 Volunteers interacted with the inmates and their families by: Playing games, Helping with crafts, Singing, Acting out a Bible story, and treating everyone as a child of God. Pizza was also be served. Stringfellow Unit, TDCJ Men's Prison.

Hosts Ken Mikesell & Barbara Beck of The Good Life TV program, interviewed Barb and Bernice McNeaney, Barb Hansen's book promoter. The subject was about how God set them free from the shame relating to domestic violence, addictions, and the poor choices they made. Bernice and Barb are in full time ministry. March 22, 2012.

Women's Recovery Academy - Albuquerque, New Mexico
Barbara & her Book Promoter, Bernice spoke to 50-80 women about their personal journey & their co-dependancy addictions. The women will break into small groups, ask questions & share what they learned. February 27, 2012

4th Annual National Prisoner's Family Conference - Albuquerque, New Mexico
In this workshop, addressed her personal journey and her codependancy addiction involving a heroin addict. Survivors of domestic and sexual violence often become enablers when boundaries are not clear. This insane behavior sets us up for shame, as destroyed human beings who have no idea who we are, and sets the stage of a play we do not want to participate in. February 22, 2012. Barb was invited to share her story at the Fifth International PASCH conference, sponsored by Peace And Safety In The Christian Home. The conference theme was Loving, Reflecting, and Pursuing Justice Together, to address domestic violence and abuse in Christian homes and the church. The conference was held at Columbia Bible College - Abbotsford, British Columbia Canada.

COPE - South Central Conference - April 2011
Barb & her book promoter, Bernice represented "His Mission" at the COPE conference, Miracle Place Church - Baker, Louisiana. At the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola, La, they heard inmate speakers, panel discussions & bands and have a prison tour & cell to cell ministry. On Saturday. they returned to Angola Prison for a Rodeo put on by the inmates & to visit the Angola Museum.

National Prisoner's Family Conference - Feb 2011
Barb was a presenter at this 3rd Annual National Conference. The conference dates were Wednesday Feb 23rd to Friday Feb 25th, 2011. The conference was held at the DoubleTree Inn at Lloyd Center, Portland, Oregon.

Massachusetts Chaplains Luncheon
Thursday February 10, 2011. Barb shared about her ministry with victims and sex offenders at the Greater Grace Christian Fellowship in Marlboro, Massachusetts. This was organized by Chaplain Orlando Jardin, who serves at Bridgewater State Prison.

Barbara's ministry to the brokenhearted in mind, body, and soul, was presented at this conference. The conference was held at the Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church at 8445 Greiner Road in Willaimsville, New York.

Hosts Ken Mikesell & Barbara Beck of WTGL TV 45 in Lake Mary, Florida, interviewed Barbara Joy Hansen on the subject of incest and clergy sex abuse. The producer is: Michelle Pettitt. The show was taped on March 4th, 2010, and was aired several times the next week.

The Prisoner's Family Conference
On Friday Feb. 27th 2009. A First-ever joint presentation from a victim and a perpetrator of sexual abuse provided a unique perspective for those serving the Prisoner's Family. The presenters uniquely reminded us of why we are serving families of prisoners.Barbara JOY Hansen has obtained victory over sexual abuse. She provides a radical testimony of having been healed set free after suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for 38 years. A nationally recognized speaker and published author, she facilitates "Beauty Out of Ashes" support groups for victims of sexual abuse. Barbara speaks straight from her heart after forgiving the pastor who abused her as a pre-teenager. She has been interviewed on Focus on the Family and has had many radio and newspaper interviews.Bob Van Domelen, Director of Broken Yoke Ministries, himself a convicted sex offender has been serving God in ministry to other sex offenders for almost 20 years. He is a published author and nationally recognized speaker and has appeared on numerous popular Christian television and radio programs. He was appointed by former Gov. Tommy Thompson to serve on the Wisconsin Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board.

Barb presented a skit about Domestic Violence and shared her testimony of forgiveness in North Dartmouth,, Mass. on November 1, 2008.

Bridgewater State Prison
Chaplain Orlando Jardim invited Barbara to preach in Chapel to sex offenders. Her sermon, was based on 2 Samuel Chapter 9 "Carried to the Table", a message of hope and deliverence. This took place on September 14, 2008.

COPE Northeast Regional Conference New London, CT

31st Annual New England Adoption Conference
May 8, 2004 Milford, Massachusetts. Barb is leading a workshop titled "Sexual Abuse, Infertility & Adoption". This hour long workshop will provide a sharing of experiences and an explanation of the connections between sexual abuse, infertility and adoption. She will share her personal and painful journey of infertility because of sexual abuse, to the exhilaration of adopting a child and then conceiving. The author is an adoptive mother and support group leader for sexual abuse survivors.
