Comments:We met a few years ago when my group was addressing the soldiers at, Natick, Ma. I bought your book and Beauty Out of the Ashes. I too, am a survivor. I finally read your book and wanted to say it is amazing. I didn't think I could learn anything new, at this point in my life. I have been working with victims for so many years, but I must tell you I did learn something new from you. God Bless you for your amazing work and thank you for teaching me something I should have already realized but didn't. I wish we had more time to talk when we met but I guess we were not supposed to as I was not supposed to read your book until yesterday, when I needed it the most. I hope you are well as you continue doing God's work. Bless you always. Regards, Mary L. Byrne

Comments:Hello Barbara Joy, We were Jumping with Joy (literally and figuratively) to learn that you were invited back for a well-deserved encore panel discussion on the following evening, and that you will be a co-host every three weeks hereafter. We listened to your entire panel discussion session, and thought it was as good as, if not better than the previous evening, if that could be possible. You, and all the other panelists proffered so much insight and understanding to every scenario discussed, based upon each person’s own vast, profound personal experiences. Without intending to sound morbid, we sincerely hope and pray that the epitaph on your tombstone, that you mentioned, will not be inscribed until long after your mission on earth has been completed. May you, too, be blessed!

Comments:today we were so very pleased to succeed in connecting to the Archive link to hear your compelling story. Throughout the entire Pod Cast, we thought you were so inspiring in articulating your traumatic early life experiences, how you pursued the very lengthly and difficult healing process by writing your book, working with prisoners, and always being available to support other victims. We sincerely hope your journey forward will continue to enable you to triumph over your many adversities.

Comments:In generations past, our elders kept secrets to themselves and that was our inheritance. The price we paid was enormous and the costs were both indelible and invisible to many. Burdened, depths of despair, silence was our legacy. We had to have freed ourselves because no human beings should have to have holes in their hearts and holes in their souls. Barbara Joy Hansen's book, "Listen to the Cry of the Child," details a journey of abuse through hell yet lifts us up, challenges us to be and become the best of God's children.A secret past or present should never be our legacy.Read this book and know "to listen" so you are doing God's work too like Barbara Joy Hansen is doing for all of us by revealing her story & is a woman of valor! Powerful, courageous, enlightening and it made me want to leave the right legacy for all of our children. BY: Esther Ross, author of "Fast Track for Caregivers." Comments: Hello Barbara, I don't know if you would remember me, but I met & talked with you at PASCH Conference 2011 in Canada. I have kept the sticky-note you wrote on for me since then in my Bible, awaiting the right time to reconnect with you. You were such an encouragement to me at that time. . . I was in such deep pain! You looked right into my heart, saw my pain & called me out of it. You wrote: "Joel 2:25-27 "I will restore to you the years that the locusts have stolen; no more shame; I will be praying for your restoration." & asked me to e-mail you. Well here I am now. Barbara, God is about the business of restoring what the enemy had destroyed! I am still with my husband, though have had some separation. I had to stand up & say 'no more", calling him to something higher, while being willing to give everything up, even the understanding of my children if need be. God has done/and is still doing His amazing work. He has even led a men's group to help men change their abusive mind

Comments:We met about 3 years ago I believe. You changed my life. Thank you! We were just talking and somehow we began to speak of our similar pasts. I spoke of how I'd been trying to write a book because God called me to, because if it helps just One person that's great! You spoke so incredibly about your book and experience and gave me your card. You've helped change my life!!! I've forgiven my dad! Now I know how the birds feel, and why I've always admired them, especially Cardinals. I'm happier and more joyful! God does use us to help others. And yes my book will be written, right now I'm studying to be a Youth Pastor! Gods Plan for me! I'm in love with His Plan! So, THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS! Natalie
